Our results 

September 2025 – Altitude Public Affairs recently conducted a survey measuring voter intentions ahead of the upcoming 2025 Markham Ward 7 By-Election.

The results reveal a competitive race, with two frontrunners emerging.

Key Findings:

• Aranee Murugananthan leads the field with approximately 35% support.

• Nimisha Patel follows closely with just over 30%.

• Undecided voters account for nearly 15%, signaling that the race remains open to shifts in momentum.

• Other candidates, including Jenny Chen, Killi Chelliah, Abdul Samad Katawazy, and Omar Ullah, trail with single-digit support.​

As the by-election approaches, candidates will be working to solidify their bases and capture the remaining undecided vote. With no clear majority, turnout and last-minute campaigning could prove decisive.

The survey was conducted with 455 Markham Ward 7 residents from September 24 to 26, 2025. The data were weighted according to census data to ensure the sample matched Markham Ward 7's population by age, gender, educational attainment, and region. Totals may not add to 100 due to rounding.
